Patagonia - You and Me. We're Special.

My notes entry from the night before this image was taken. Needless to say, we didn’t have any luck at sunrise but our misfortunes were atoned with one of the most intense sunsets I had seen in a very long time.
1st April 2016
It’s 9:18 pm and I’m laying in my tent at Camp Poincenot at the base of Mt Fitzroy.
We left Cerra Torre this morning after finally getting our first visual of the mountain at sunrise, it had actually turned out to be an amazing morning.
We arrived here at camp Poincenot a few hours ago after hiking up from El Chalten. Today was a particularly hard hike – the trail wasn’t too bad but the blisters on my feet really got to me, none-the-less I made it up (thanks Craig for the extra blister pads) and I’m glad I did – this place feels special.

Anyway, it’s 9:19 now and it’s cold, like really cold. I’m laying in my sleeping bag typing this on my phone. The alarm is set for 5:45 and a few of us are planning to leave on foot at 6 am to find a waterfall we were hoping to shoot at sunrise – I’m hoping my feet hold up.
It’s cold and it’s been a big day so I should try and get some sleep – fingers crossed for a good shoot at the waterfall in the morning.
